com_veriform changelog
Notable releases and milestones for Verified Forms (com_veriform).
| Version | Summary |
|---|---|
| 3.3.1 – 3.3.3 | Trial installs re-checking their subscription less often, plus a weekly featured card in the dashboard. Validation traffic on trial sites. A signing mismatch meant trial installations re-validated their subscription quite often instead of honouring the 24-hour cache. They now behave like paid installs — about one check a day — and a new safeguard caps re-validation to once per cache window even if a future mismatch ever appears. Manual “Revalidate”, upgrades and key changes still take effect immediately. No configuration change. Featured card. The admin dashboard’s “More from Multizone” panel now shows a weekly featured card, with a link to leave a review on the Joomla Extensions Directory. |
| 3.3.0 | Send newsletters straight from Joomla, plus self-service email preferences and a cleaner list that keeps itself tidy. Broadcasts. Compose a message, choose who it goes to (everyone on your verified list, or a single form’s subscribers) and send — no exporting to a third-party newsletter tool. Verified Forms delivers in batches through Postmark’s dedicated broadcast stream, personalises each email, and shows live progress in a dialog as it sends. Every broadcast carries Postmark’s one-click unsubscribe and the standard List-Unsubscribe headers automatically. Broadcasting is a Postmark feature — bulk email always goes through Postmark, never Joomla’s own mailer. Keep your list in step with Postmark. A “Sync from Postmark” action pulls Postmark’s own unsubscribes, bounces and spam complaints back into your Subscribers list, each row tagged with the reason. When someone asks “I signed up — why no email?”, the answer is on their record. Self-service email preferences. When Verified Forms is installed alongside Subscriptions Manager, logged-in users get an “Email updates” toggle on their subscriptions dashboard, so they can opt in or out of your product-news list themselves at any time. Route all of Joomla’s mail through Postmark. The Email options now show the exact Postmark SMTP settings for Joomla’s Global Configuration and confirm when they’re active — so registration, password resets, contact forms and every other extension can share the same deliverability, not just Verified Forms’ own email. |
| 3.2.0 | Build a verified subscriber list — double opt-in sign-ups, Postmark delivery and one-click unsubscribe. Subscription forms. Turn any form into a double opt-in sign-up: switch on “Collect subscribers” on the form’s new Subscribers tab and set an optional welcome email. Confirmed sign-ups are added to a deduplicated Subscribers list (one row per email). A new Subscribers screen lets you filter by status, source and form, see when and from where each person consented, and export your verified subscribers to CSV. Postmark email delivery. Optionally send Verified Forms’ emails through Postmark for better deliverability, message streams and one-click unsubscribe. Configure it under Options → Email. It’s a Standard-tier feature — on lower tiers the setting still saves, but email keeps going through Joomla’s mailer until you upgrade, and a “Send test email” button confirms your setup and reports which transport actually delivered. One-click unsubscribe. Welcome (and future broadcast) emails carry an unsubscribe link and the standard List-Unsubscribe headers, so recipients can opt out in one click from their mail app. Unsubscribes are honoured and never silently re-subscribed. Unify with your user groups. Already gathering subscribers through Joomla registration groups? Pick those groups under Options → Subscribers and click “Sync from groups” to fold their members into the same list. |
| 3.1.11 – 3.1.21 | New signing key. Ships the new key used to verify your subscription, as part of a coordinated security rotation across all Multizone extensions, plus accumulated stability and interface improvements. No action needed — your site auto-updates and your subscription is unaffected. |
| 3.1.10 | Dashboard CTA polish synced with the rest of the family. Dashboard Upgrade CTAs unified. Trial-banner + subscription-status + subscription-widget partials re-synced. All Upgrade CTAs read “Upgrade Now”, no shopping-trolley icon, button tone follows alert tone — alert-danger → btn-danger text-white, alert-warning → btn-warning, alert-success → btn-success text-white. text-white is explicit because Atum overrides Bootstrap’s default contrast and the previous saturated-red-button-with-dark-text was unreadable. Subscription-status alert restructured to a single full-width row (icon | text | button) instead of stacking. Subscription-widget footer keeps btn-success btn-lg — the always-on “Upgrade for more features” CTA. Tier-aware upgrade URL. Trial → standard, standard → premium, premium → enterprise, enterprise hides the footer row (no tier above). |
| 3.1.9 | Joomla 6 compatibility for licence validation. Licence validation now reads HTTP responses through the current Joomla API. On Joomla 6 a valid key could silently fall back to the trial feature set. No configuration change required. |
| 3.1.8 | Subscription cache restored on customer sites. Fixed a bug where a cache mismatch caused fall back to trial. |
| 3.1.7 | Production release consolidating issues found in testing. Versions 3.1.1 through 3.1.6 iterated through this change before the consolidated release shipped. Subscription validation traffic reduced. The cache was repeatedly invalidating on every admin page render due to a signature mismatch with the validation API. Now caches successfully for 24 hours, so an active admin generates ~1 validation call per day rather than per page. Internal trait alignment across the four paid extensions; future drift is caught by a pre-push gate. |
