Requirements

Joomla! 4.4 or newer
Joomla! 5.x recommended

What this plugin does

Each time you save an article the Title of the article and the first 140 characters of text will be used to generate the meta description for your article.
This may be helpful to your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
If you hand edit the description or there is an existing description it won't be over written.

Installation

Go to System : Install : Extensions
Choose Install from Folder
Browse and select or drag the installation zip file
Wait for the confirmation that the installation was successful
Go to System : Manage : Plugins
Enable the plugin

Choose Extensions : Install > Install from folder

Extensions : Install > Installation of the plugin was successful

Updates

Updates are managed by the Joomla Update system via our update server.

Click 'Check for Updates'
Select the plugin
Click 'Update'
